1. Overview & General Terms

Welcome to THE 22KT GOLD. By accessing our website, placing a custom jewellery order, or purchasing from our Manek Chowk workshop in Ahmedabad, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

2. 100% Purity Guarantee & BIS Hallmarking

BIS 916 Hallmark Assurance: Every piece of gold jewellery manufactured by THE 22KT GOLD is certified under the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Hallmarking scheme with a unique 6-digit Hallmark Unique Identification (HUID) laser-engraved on the item.

We guarantee gold purity as per specified karat grade (22KT 916, 24KT 999, 20KT 833, 18KT 750, 14KT 585, 9KT 375). Customers are encouraged to verify HUID stamps using the official BIS Care mobile application.

3. Custom Orders & Design Approval Process

For bespoke and custom-manufactured gold jewellery:

Design Approval: Order manufacturing commences only after client approval of estimated gold weight, CAD design render / reference sketch, and making charges quotation.
Manufacturing Timeline: Handcrafted custom orders typically require 7 to 14 business days depending on design intricacy.
Minor Weight Tolerance: As gold jewellery is hand-crafted, final net gold weight may vary by +/- 2% to 5%. Final invoice is generated strictly according to actual weighed gold.

4. Pricing, Gold Rate Locking & Payments

Transparent Pricing Formula: Order Cost = (Net Gold Weight × Locked Gold Rate per gram) + Making Charges + 3% GST.
Advance Deposit: A minimum 30% advance deposit is required to lock the gold rate and initiate workshop production.
Final Settlement: Remaining balance must be cleared prior to dispatch or upon handover at our Manek Chowk workshop.

5. Cancellations, Modifications & Returns

Because custom gold jewellery is tailor-made to specific client dimensions and specifications:

Pre-Production Cancellation: Orders cancelled before manufacturing starts are eligible for a full deposit refund.
In-Production Cancellation: If an order is cancelled after gold melting or CAD creation, a nominal labor charge will be deducted from the advance deposit.
Purity Guarantee Return: In the unlikely event of any hallmarking discrepancy verified by an accredited BIS center, we offer 100% full replacement or refund.

6. Insured Shipping & Delivery Policy

All dispatched jewellery parcels are shipped via specialized 100% insured transit partners across India. Recipients are required to verify the intact security seal and provide OTP/signature verification upon handover.

7. Governing Law & Legal Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to transactions with THE 22KT GOLD shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
